Yes, you are the legal owner of the plot you purchase. However, this differs from purchasing other lands as there will be certain terms and conditions in the area. For instance, you will not be allowed to build anything on the property as it would destroy the natural beauty of the area. However, you are welcome to visit the property whenever you like and explore the surrounding area.

You can own the land forever if you choose to. We are committed to maintaining the plots in an untouched natural state for the enjoyment of all our landowners. For this reason, we provide a renewable 20-year leasehold ownership of the land. This lease can be renewed at no charge after 20 years. If you fail to renew the lease, we won't change the owner details we have on file; we ultimately want to make sure the details are up to date. No. Once you purchase your plot, you will not be charged any more money. This is because the Irish government does not charge taxes on these kinds of rural properties.

We are very happy to accommodate landowners if they wish to resell their land. We can reissue the legal documentation to new landowners for a small fee.

Unfortunately, no. Ownership of property does not ultimately entitle an owner to accelerated or automatic citizenship rights in Ireland.
